Nancy A. Busch-Rossnagel is Professor of Psychology and the former Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Chief Research Officer/Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Fordham University. Her research focuses on parent-child relationships in Latino families, relating maternal behaviors to toddlers’ mastery motivation and self-concept. In more than 50 theses/dissertations and numerous scholarly articles and with funding from NICHD, her lab has created culturally centered parental-report and observational measures for the assessment of development in young Latino children. She now works to identify the best practices for the creation and validation of culturally centered measures of early child development and socialization.
